Get Your Teaching Cert!

Once you are hired for a teaching position, you will have to get your teaching certification. The State of Delaware offers an STS certification for chefs leaving the industry and that are going to teach.

Here is a list of places you will need to go in order to get certified

Frontline App-Join Delaware Schools

  • Join Delaware Schools is a website and job board. You can look up to see what is available in Red Clay, Brandywine, NCC Votech, Capital, and Cape Henlopen School Districts

Delaware Department of Education

  • Delaware DOE is where you can apply for your certification. Many times the school district you are working for will deal with DOE directly. If you are not sure, call them directly for information and status

University of Delaware ARTC Program

  • The ARTC does not deal in certs for STS certification, they do offer an alternative route to certification if you plan on possibly being a Family Consumer Science(FCS) teacher. Some chefs go that route.
